To the Editor,
There was a late night KET show that separately examined two problems in America. These problems are very closely related and should have been looked at together.
Church attendance continues to drop. Doctors and parents are having problems agreeing on how to judge the value of a new born baby’s life. That child could have been born pre-mature or with a disability. Both problems point to how people feel about God.
Where does God fit in? Or does God fit in anywhere in your life?
The mother of a child born pre-mature and weighing less than two pounds had no problem seeing value in her child’s life. People who go to church have no problem with giving God a place of great value. It is shown in worship at the church together with others of the same mind.
A decision must be made on what is important to you. What you spend your time doing shows what you give value to. We Americans must decide what is important. It will guide our lives. How we spend it. How it will end.
