Oscar M. Staples, 88, 70 Carly Ayers Rd., Albany, passed away May 31, 2015 at Clinton County Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and later made a living as an antiques dealer and race car driver.
He is survived by his adoptive family, Shirley Melton, Albany; Amanda Burchett, Crystal Adkins, Joni Roberts, Michael Hicks, Brandy Jones, and Letisha Adkins, all of Albany; also grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Cremation was chosen.
Final arrangements were made through Lake Cumberland Funeral Home of Somerset, Kentucky.
