In an effort to raise funds to be used for the purchase of dog food to feed dogs that are being housed at the local animal shelter, Cadence Miller began a fundraising campaign that she named “Cadence’s Pennies for Paws”.

Cadence’s goal was to raise enough money ($168) in the month of May to purchase 12 – 40lb bags of dog food to supply to the local animal shelter. Not only did she hit this goal, but she surpassed it, raising $182, enough to pay for 14 bags of food.

With the success of the Pennies for Paws program, over the next 14 months, one 40lb bag of dog food will be delivered to the local animal shelter funded by Cadence’s Pennies for Paws campaign.

Cadence would like to extend a very special thank you to Mrs. Teresa Scott, Principal at CCMS, Albany Animal Clinic, Albany Full Service Station and Bowlin’s Feed for their assistance with her campaign.

She is shown in the above photo with 14 bags of dog food that each weigh 40 pounds.
