Sallie Dean (Burchett) Copeland, 78, Byrdstown, Tennessee and a native of Clinton County, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Clinton County Care and Rehab in Albany. She was the daughter of the late Luther and Edna (Grider) Burchett, wife of the late Turney Copeland and was also preceded in death by a son, Peter Turney, a sister, Eva Conner and a brother, Pete Burchett. She attended Wolf River United Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church in Byrdstown.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Ronnie) Tompkins, Monroe, TN; Deanie (Ricky) Craig, Albany; two sons, Joe (Donna) Copeland, Chattanooga, TN; Jerry Copeland, Byrdstown, TN; two sisters, Jimmie Maupin, Albany; Alice Dickerson, New Castle, IN; step-sister, Laura Alice (Dallas) Sidwell, Albany; daughter-in-law, Joann Copeland, Evensville, TN; also 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 20, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ivan Raley and Bro. Ricky Cross officiating. Final resting place in Amonett Cemetery. Arrangements made through Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown, Tennessee.
