Rage Run, 5K Color Run/Walk

KY Rage 80 softball team will host a Rage Run, 5K color run/walk on Friday, July 17 at the Veteran’s Park pavilion in Burkesville. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. You may pre-register by contacting Brandy Walden at 270-459-2092 or Katresa Collins at 606-688-5453. Pre-registration cost is $15 (t-shirt included) and must be turned in by Monday, July 13. Registration day of the event is $20 with no t-shirt guaranteed.

CCHS Class of 1960 reunion

The CCHS Class of 1960 will have its 55th class reunion Labor Day weekend, September 4 and 5. No invitations will be sent, so we are asking people to remind their friends and relatives of these important dates! More details will follow in this newspaper in August. Get ready for a fun weekend. The work session board meeting of the Clinton County Board of Education, scheduled for Thursday, July 9, has been cancelled.

VFW to host Bicycle Derby

Albany VFW Post #1096 Annual Bicycle Derby for ages 2-13 will be held Saturday, July 18 at the VFW Post ball field on Hopkins Street. Bike safety inspections will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with races starting at 1 p.m. Entry forms will be handed out during inspections. The event is sponsored by the VFW Post #1096, American Legion #135 and local businesses.

Fiscal court regular meeting

Clinton County Fiscal Court will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday, July 16 at 5 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the Clinton County Courthouse. The meeting is open to the general public.

Wellness on Wheels at CCMS July 15

The Cumberland Family Medical Wellness on Wheels Bus will be at the Clinton County Middle School on Wednesday, July 15, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

They will be providing 6th grade physicals, sports physicals and shots. There will be a provider on board to help anyone who needs help for paperwork. If you have any questions, please call 387-6466 or 387-8575.

Ricky Pickens will offer an Adult Martial Arts class Monday 4 p.m. and a youth Martial Arts class Wednesdays at 5 p.m.

Water Aerobics

Water Aerobics Class has started back at the Wellness Center. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:30 am. Cost is free to members and $3 for non members.

Adult Summer Reading Program

Foothills Camp Meeting 2015

The 7th annual Kentucky Foothills Camp meeting will be held Thursday through Saturday, July 9-11 at the Clinton County Fairgrounds at 6 p.m. nightly. There will be special singing by The Schofields, Joshua Haines and others, and special preaching by Dr. Todd Zike and Donnie Bunch. Eaglets 6-12 years old and Eagles, 13-18 years old. Crop reporting deadline

Farm Service Agency announces that the final date to report all crops, except small grains and certain NAP crops is July 15. Reports filed after the reporting deadline are subject to a late reporting fee. Please remember that filing an accurate acreage report can prevent the loss of benefits for a variety of programs. Glidewell benefit cancelled

The benefit for Jerry Glidewell is cancelled. Jerry Glidewell will not be responsible for any donations. However, there will be a drawing for the two prints and the quilt for the tickets that were sold.
