School board regular meeting

The Clinton County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday, July 20 at 5 p.m. in the Central Office conference room. The meeting is open to the public.

VFW to host Bicycle Derby

Albany VFW Post #1096 Annual Bicycle Derby for ages 2-13 will be held Saturday, July 18 at the VFW Post ball field on Hopkins Street. Bike safety inspections will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with races starting at 1 p.m. Entry forms will be handed out during inspections. The event is sponsored by the VFW Post #1096, American Legion #135 and local businesses.

Fiscal court regular meeting

Clinton County Fiscal Court will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday, July 16 at 5 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the Clinton County Courthouse. The meeting is open to the general public.

Martial Arts

Ricky Pickens will offer an Adult Martial Arts class Monday 4 p.m. and a youth Martial Arts class Wednesdays at 5 p.m.

Water Aerobics

Water Aerobics Class has started back at the Wellness Center. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:30 am. Cost is free to members and $3 for non members.

Adult Summer Reading Program

The 2015 Adult Summer Reading Program will be held at the Clinton County Public Library through July 31 each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 11 a.m. Call 387-5989 or stop by for details. rtn

Crop reporting deadline

Farm Service Agency announces that the final date to report all crops, except small grains and certain NAP crops is July 15. Reports filed after the reporting deadline are subject to a late reporting fee. Please remember that filing an accurate acreage report can prevent the loss of benefits for a variety of programs. Recreation Park Board meeting

The Recreation Park Board will meet in regular session Thursday, July 30 at 6 p.m. at Mountain View Park. The meeting is open to the general public.
