The Clinton County Lady Volley Dawgs picked up several wins over the weekend as well as the first place trophy in the McCreary Central Invitational Tournament held in McCreary County. Clinton County won four matches to take the championship. The Volley Dawgs defeated Bell County, Jellico, TN, Somerset and North Laurel in two games, but fell to Somerset 2-1 during the tournament.

Jordan Grant and Jana Mullins went up for a block during Tuesday’s match against McCreary Central in the Volley Dawgs’ season opener. Clinton County lost the contest, 2-0, but finished in first place in the McCreary Central Invitational tournament this past weekend. The team has a 4-3 record.
