The Clinton County Lady Golf Dawgs qualified for the State All “A” Tournament by winning the regional tournament last week. As a team, Clinton County shot a 179 with Addison Bernard and Macy Campbell carding 43 each, Samantha Stinson shot a 48 and London Honeycutt finished with a 45. Tori Honeycutt rounded out scoring for the team with a 62.
The Lady Golf Dawgs will play in the All “A” State Tournament on September 12 in Somerset.
The boys’ team placed second overall in the All “A” Regional Tournament held last week at Summer Shade in Metcalfe County. As a team, Clinton County shot a 171 with Reed Sloan shooting a 43, Kyle Choate shot a 38, Jase Boils carded a 44 and Chase Claborn finished with a 46. Jamison Derryberry rounded out scoring with a 50. By placing second, Clinton County didn’t qualify as a team for the All “A” State tournament, however, Choate’s score did qualify him to play in the All “A” State as an individual.
