Irene (Latham) Sholes, 89, Albany, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Clinton County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John S. and Minnie Elvira (Catron) Latham, and was also preceded in death by her husband, David Alan Sholes, two brothers, James and William Latham, and a sister, Halma Worley.

She is survived by four sons, Joseph E. (Jacqueline) Sholes, Ocala, FL; John F. Sholes, Albany; David T. Sholes, Morgan County, IN; Mark A. (Renata) Sholes, St. Petersburg, FL; four step-children, James and Beth Ann Sholes, Amanda Munson, all of MO; Lesley Thomson, Scotland; a sister, Etta Bell Bruce, Albany; two brothers, John T. (Ruby) Latham, Pamplin, VA; Daniel T. (Brenda) Latham, Byrdstown, TN; a sister-in-law, Wilma Gay Latham, Albany; eight grandchildren, Kevin, Inga, Eric, Hannah, Olivia, Kristie, Aleasha and Troy; three step-grandchildren, Neida, Ethan and Jared; also 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 31, 2015 at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Brown officiating. Final resting place in Cartwright Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany. Online condolences may be made at www.campbell-new.com.
