David Larry McWhorter, 68, Columbia, Kentucky and formerly of Albany, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of the late William Larry McWhorter and was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl McWhorter and a sister, Nell Hunt.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Davies McWhorter, Columbia, KY; his mother, Mary Lee Willen McWhorter, Albany; two daughters, Angela McWhorter and Lee Ann (Britt) Martin, Hillsborough, N.C.; two step-children, Allie (Clint) Bryant and Jeff (Ashley) Ayers, Cincinnati, OH; a brother, Jimmy (Diane) McWhorter and two sisters, Olene Wray and Earlene (Doug) McMackin, all of Louisville, KY; also two grandchildren, Jackson Martin and Maisie Bryant.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Weldon Haddix Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Peak and Rev. Clifton Cowan officiating. Final resting place in Cave Springs Cemetery in Clinton County. Arrangements were made through Weldon Haddix Funeral Home of Albany.
