Bennie “J.D.” Tallent, 74, Burkesville, Kentucky and a native of Albany, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Cumberland County Hospital. He was a member of First Christian Church in Burkesville, son of the late Aaron Darcus and Reba Thelma Cummings and was also preceded in death by a sister, Ida Maude Thrasher, two brothers, Guy Warren and Aaron Oakley Tallent and a nephew, Warren Tallent.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Thrasher Tallent, Burkesville, KY; a daughter, Lesley Robin (John) Flesgood, Elmhurst, IL; five brothers, Bobby (Doris), Johnny (Becky), Gary (Arissa), and Wendell (Sylvia) Tallent, all of Albany; Joe (Sheryl) Tallent, Martinsville, IN; a sister, Ina (Rob) Norris, New Whiteland, IN; and one grandchild, Matthew Flesgood.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Ogle and Bro. Jeff Conner officiating. Final resting place in Cave Springs Cemetery in Clinton County. Arrangements were made through Norris-New Funeral Home of Burkesville, Kentucky.
