There was plenty of labor ahead on Monday’s Labor Day holiday for Uvilio Jimenez, who was cutting tobacco being grown by Jereme Hill on the Wisdom Dock Road just west of Albany.
Most local crops are being harvested now and in recent weeks, and most growers are reporting having good crops this season.
