Summer ending gathering . . .

Local lake enthusiasts joined tourists this past weekend on both Dale Hollow Lake and Lake Cumberland, for one final summer gathering at several favorite spots on both lakes as the Labor Day Holiday brought the traditional boating season to a close for the tourism season on both lakes. Although in most years there will be plenty of favorable boating weather still ahead, traffic on both lakes will be signifacantly reduced after the Labor Day holiday. The photo above was made Saturday near Shear Pin Pass, a favorite gathering spot near the Clinton County – Pickett County boundary on Dale Hollow Lake.
