The Clinton County Grand Jury convened in regular session last Thursday, September 10 and handed down a host of indictments in open Circuit Court, with several individuals being named in multi-count true bills.
The following indictments were returned last week:
* James D. Denney, the alleged offenses of third degree assault (five counts); tampering with physical evidence (all Class D felonies); disorderly conduct first degree; operating a motor vehicle with expired operator’s license (Class A misdemeanors); failure to maintain insurance on a motor vehicle (Class B misdemeanor); operating a motor vehicle while license is suspended or revoked, third or subsequent offense (Class D felony); motor vehicle insurance to be in paper or electronic format; operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above 0.08, fourth offense (Class D felony).
* Bennie W. Davis, the alleged offenses of speeding, reckless driving (misdemeanors); fleeing or evading police first degree (Class D felony); no/expired registration plates (misdemeanor); possession of a controlled substance first degree (Class D felony); possession of a controlled substance not in original container (Class B misdemeanor); no registration receipt; no motorcycle operator’s license; disregarding a traffic control device (misdemeanors).
* William H. Stuber, Jr., the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree (Class D felony); possession of drug paraphernalia; trafficking in marijuana less than eight ounces; possession of marijuana; marijuana cultivation less than five plants (Class A misdemeanors).
* Candie Stuber, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree (Class D felony); marijuana cultivation less than five plants; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana; trafficking in marijuana less than eight ounces (Class A misdemeanors).
* Jonathan A. Stuber, the alleged offenses of possession of marijuana (Class B misdemeanor); possession of drug paraphernalia; marijuana cultivation; trafficking in marijuana less than eight ounces (Class A misdemeanors) possession of a controlled substance first degree (Class D felony).
* Jimmy R. Wallace, the alleged offenses of criminal mischief first degree (Class D felony); possession of open alcoholic beverage container; resisting arrest (Class A misdemeanor); operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above 0.08 first offense; fleeing or evading police, first degree; receiving stolen property (Class D felonies); terroristic threatening (two counts–Class A misdemeanor).
* Christopher Posey, the alleged offense of criminal trespass third degree–two charges (misdemeanor) theft by unlawful taking or disposition over $10,000 (Class C felony); theft by unlawful taking or disposition more than $500 but less than $10,000 (Class D felony); persistent felony offender first degree.
* Tohawnee Davidson, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance second degree (Class A misdemeanor) and possession of a controlled substance first degree (Class D felony).
* Ladonna Kempton, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance second degree (Class A misdemeanor) and possession of a controlled substance first degree, two counts (Class D felony).
* Jamie L. Posey, the alleged offenses of theft by unlawful taking or disposition more than $500 but less than $10,000 (Class D felony) and criminal trespass third degree.
* Elmer G. Neal, the alleged offenses of criminal trespass third degree (misdemeanor) and theft by unlawful taking or disposition over $500 but less than $10,000 (Class D felony).
*Jason Garner, the alleged offense of criminal possession of a forged instrument first degree–five counts (Class D felonies).
* Joe Chad Ledbetter, the alleged offense of receiving stolen property more than $500 (Class D felony).
* Ricky Savage, the alleged offense of receiving stolen property (Class D felony).
* Brett W. Murphy, the alleged offense of wanton endangerment first degree–two counts (Class D felonies).
* Austin Waid, the alleged offense of fraudulent use of a debt card (Class D felony).
* Kenneth Neal, the alleged offense of flagrant nonsupport.
* Charles Hicks, the alleged offense of flagrant nonsupport.
