Clinton County Fiscal Court, with only four members that make up the court present, attended a special called meeting last Thursday afternoon, October 1 with only one item of business on the agenda.

Only three magistrates–Hershell Key, Terry Buster and Johnny Russell, were on hand with Judge/Executive Richard Armstrong representing the fourth member of the court, just enough to constitute a quorum.

The court, on a motion by Magistrate Key, voted unanimously to purchase a full-size 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up from the Kentucky Department of Transportation, at a cost of $3,550.00. The money to purchase the vehicle, which will be used by the road department, will come from the county road fund.

The truck purchase was the only item of business on the agenda and the only vote or discussion held prior to adjournment.

The next regular meeting of Clinton Fiscal Court is scheduled for Thursday, October 15 at 5 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the courthouse and is open to the general public.
