Everett Louis Smith (Louie), 84, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015.

Smith was born in Albany, KY on March 5, 1931. He has resided in Louisville since 1958.

Smith was a member of Shively Christian Church. A veteran, he served honorably in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

Smith was a 32nd Degree Mason, Shriner, Licensed Kentucky Realtor, and a two term Chairman of the Clinton County Republican Party. Smith is survived by his wife, Margaret Maureen (Wilborn) Smith, two sons, Mark Anthony Smith and Michael Wayne Smith (Vicki). He was the grandfather of Robert Louis Smith (Beth), Logan Anthony Smith, Allie Brooke Smith, Adam Louis Smith and Margaret Therese Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Huff and Clara Smith, brother John W. Smith, and son, David Louis Smith.

Visitation will be held at Campbell-New Funeral Home, Albany, KY beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2015 with funeral services at Albany United Methodist Church, 11 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015.
