Volley Dawgs’ ‘Pink Out’ night continues to be a success

The Clinton County Volley Dawgs hosted its annual “Pink Out” night at Lindle Castle Gymnasium Tuesday.

In conjuction with the Albany / Clinton County Relay For Life Chapter, the Volley Dawgs use the venue to promote cancer awareness. In the above photo, Bailey Gibson announced several survivors who were in attendance Tueday night.

In the photo at right, Albany/Clinton County Relay for Life Chapter President Lorie Dalton handed out flowers to those survivors who were present, including Jennifer Harlan as shown in the photo.

Also on hand was the Alumni Band, shown right, as Lamon Hubbs directed the group during the ceremony.

Below, right, Head Coach Kayla Kirek and some members of the Volley Dawgs’ team announced who they were playing or coaching for in honor of the cancer game.

In the photo below, several cancer survivors were on hand for a special ceremony to celebrate their fight against cancer.

During the ceremony, a bucket was passed through the crowd by the Clinton County Cheerleading Squad, collecting more than $400.

The event also saw several items for sale in the lobby of the gym where people could bid on certain items with all the proceeds going towards the Relay for Life Chapter in Clinton County.

After the ceremony, Clinton County took the floor against Adair County and won the game in two sets, 25-23 and 25-13.
