An audition will be held for Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Aladdin on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. All students in grades K—12 are encouraged to audition.
Those auditioning should arrive at the Clinton County Learning Center auditorium before 3:30 PM and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition. Approximately 50-60 roles are available for local students.
Among the roles to be cast are Aladdin and his Mother, the Princess Dory and her father the Sultan along with his adviser the Grand Vizier, the keeper of the Book of Answers Dinazade and her sister Scheherazade, the Mysterious One and some mischievous Genies, a stubborn Donkey and spunky Goat, scheming Cassim and Ali Baba, Sinbad and his Sailors, wise-cracking Palm Trees and fleet footed Camels, a Cave of Wonders, Vagabonds, and even a pack of lost Penguins.
Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals with cast members four hours each evening throughout the week. Aladdin is part of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s unique international touring project and is presented in Clinton County by Clinton County Community Education, with funding provided through Extended School Services and Grider Hill Dock.
Aladdin will be presented at 7:00 PM on Friday, November 6th at the Clinton County Learning Center.
