Melissa Faye Barnes Amonett, 49, Albany, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Elgia (Smith) Barnes.

She is survived by her father, Thurman Barnes; her husband, Billy Amonett, both of Albany; her children, Melissa (Timothy, Jr.) Anderson, Ashley Fenner (Rosanell Hill), Thurman Amonett (Lorie Hill), Tyler (Kya) Amonett, all of Albany; Billie (Jason) Claywell, Burkesville, KY; her siblings, Earl Barnes, Christina Perdue, Jesse Barnes and Carolyn Smith, all of Albany; also nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Pastor Rayborn Stearns officiating. Final resting place in Buncom Cemetery in Wayne County. The family would appreciate memorials in the form of donations to help pay funeral expenses and may be left at the funeral home. Arrangements were made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany.
