Authorities discover marijuana grow operation;

A joint investigation into illegal drug activity led to a search warrant being executed on a Clinton County residence last month, according to a press release from the Albany Police Department.

On Wednesday, October 21, Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations, Albany Police Department Drug Task Force and Clinton County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 1174 Central Union Road/KY 415, a few miles east of Albany.

During the search, an indoor marijuana grow was discovered along with 31 firearms, a stolen ATV and an excess of 100 pounds of marijuana.

According to the press release, the search warrant was obtained after a two-month joint investigation between the KSP DESI/West Detectives and Albany Police Department Task Force.

No arrests were made at the time of the execution of the warrants, however arrests will be forthcoming pending grand jury presentation.

The next regular session of the Clinton County Grand Jury is scheduled for Thursday, November 12.
