Lester Joseph Baxter, Jr., 85, Cave Springs Rd., Albany, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Pickett County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Byrdstown, Tennessee. He was a native of Chicago, Illinois and a veteran of the Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Grace A. Baxter, Albany; two sons, Michael Joseph and Lester Vinson Baxter; a daughter, Christine Ruth Ann Lambert, all of Indianapolis, IN; also seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial were in Indianapolis, Indiana with arrangements made through Flanner and Buchannan Funeral Home. Local arrangements were made through Weldon Haddix Funeral Home of Albany.
