Lineup of activities will have something new, plenty of blue
Plenty of tradition and a new twist will be in store for those who are seeking out a basketball fix this Friday night by attending the annual pre-season kickoff to the upcoming roundball campaign, Meet the Bulldogs and Big Blue Mania.
In addition to the traditional lineup of player, cheerleader and coaches introductions and intra-squad blue-white scrimmages, an additional fee will also entitle fans to be a part of the “something new” portion of the program.
The event is slated to be held at Clinton County High School this Friday night, November 13.
The new portion of the program will involve the annual dinner event which has this year evolved into a meal featuring Hunter’s BBQ and will also incorporate a drawing that will see a host of prizes given away, including one grand prize of $2,000.
Tickets for the meal and drawing event are $50 and include two plate dinners as well as a single chance in the drawing.
Tickets are available in advance from any Lady Bulldog or Bulldog basketball player. No tickets to the meal/drawing will be sold at the door.
The meal begins at 5:00 p.m. and continues through 6:30 p.m. with the drawing.
At about 7:00 p.m., the attention turns toward basketball and the introductions of players, cheerleaders and the coaching staff that fans will be watching this winter.
After the player introductions, each squad will go through a brief intra-squad scrimmage, giving fans their first look at what we can expect on the playing floor for the next four months.
Following that portion of the program, the two newest members of the Clinton County High School Basketball Wall of Fame will be introduced.
The two newest members were selected earlier this summer by the Wall of Fame Selection Committee.
Selected to join the Wall of Fame members this year will be Sheldon Harlan and Dorothy Papineau.
