Mia Hicks for making healthy choices
by Mia Hicks
I love eating healthy and working out. I feel really accomplished, and I hope that I can encourage kids and teenagers to lose weight.
I had been called fat a few times, and I’ve seen my mother struggle with her weight. She has had surgery because her weight caused her to have eight hernias. She just really inspired me lose my weight.
When I started losing weight, I first started working out at home for one hour and ate healthy.
Then when I started losing even more weight, I got a membership at my hometown wellness center. That’s when my pounds started coming off quick.
As soon as I would get home from school, I would go straight to the wellness center and workout. It really encouraged me to lose even more.
