School bus drivers needed

Clinton County Board of Education is currently seeking applications for school bus drivers. A driver training course will begin Monday, January 4, 2016. Homemakers Children’s Christmas Village

The Clinton County Extension Homemakers will sponsor its annual Children’s Christmas Village, Santa’s Workshop, on Thursday, December 10th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Learning Center Auditorium. Children may purchase up to five gifts for family members with the help of one of our special elves. Don’t forget that Santa and Mrs. Jingle will be at Christmas Village too. Hosting for the Holidays

You may be looking for new recipes, decor, gifting, and entertaining ideas now that the holiday season is in full swing. The Clinton County Extension Office will offer Hosting for the Holidays on Tuesday, December 8th at 11:00 a.m. and again at 5:00 p.m. Please RSVP by December 7th at noon by calling (606) 387-5404.

District Board of Health Meeting

There will be a meeting of the Lake Cumberland District Board of Health on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Russell County Health Department in Jamestown, KY at 7:00 p.m. EST/6:00 pm CST. This meeting is open to the public.

The Board of Directors is comprised of 30 members who are county judges, dentists, engineers, nurses, pharmacists, optometrists, physicians, veterinarians, and citizen members. They represent the Counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor, and Wayne.

The Chairman of the Board is Cumberland County Judge/Executive John Phelps

City council monthly meeting

Albany City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, December 1 at 5 p.m. at city hall.

Christmas Craft Fair/Bazaar

Busy Bees Daycare’s Relay For Life Team, Kids for a Cure, is hosting a Christmas Craft Fair/Bazaar on Saturday, December 12. This will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Burkesvlle First Christian Church fellowship hall. Booth space can be rented for a $20 donation. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Free Zumba classes for Clinton County High School students

21st Century and Clinton County Healthy Hometown is sponsoring Zumba classes for all Clinton County High School students for FREE. Classes will be every Wednesday from 4:15 pm-5:00 pm at ECC in the cafeteria.

The first 20 students who attend 15 classes will receive a FREE Fitbit Contact Sandra Guffey at 606-387-9452 for more information.

Christmas Countdown Expo

“Tis’ the Season” is here. AA meets on Thursday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. in the basement of Albany First Christian Church.
