Albany United took three teen bible quiz teams to Eastland Park Church of the Nazarene in Lexington last week. Two teams consisting of Kaylee Stearns, Teghan Hurd, Brianna Sparks and Victoria White, Hayley Brown, Taylor Burchett, Crissy Speck were entered in the Novice Division where they competed against six other teams. Teghan Hurd placed in the top ten in her division.

One team consisting of Chris Claborn, Amber Cross, Silas Melton and Dylan Caudle entered the Experienced Division where they competed in a double round robin against four other teams and placed first overall. Chris Clabon, Amber Cross and Silas Melton all placed in the top ten in their division. Kentucky will be taking two district teams to St. Louis, Missouri in December to compete in a tournamnet. The top 16 were eligible for a quiz off to determine who would be going to St. Louis.

Albany United had four quizzers to make the district team….Chris Claborn, Amber Cross, Silas Melton and Teghan Hurd.
