Shane McWhorter, 43, Albany, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Patsy Lowhorn Koger, grandson of the late Monrie Lowhorn and the late Fred and Margie McWhorter.

He is survived by a son, Kobe McWhorter, Morehead, KY; his father and step-mother, Frank and Marsha McWhorter, Gallatin, TN; his grandfather, Will Ed Lowhorn; his step-father, Howard Koger; a aunt, Sarah McWhorter, all of Albany; an uncle, Jim McWhorter; also four step-brothers, one step-sister and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with final resting place in Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
