The rooms look totally differeny. The furniture is not what you would expect. The space completely amazed, were some of the descriptions given at the Mountain View Assisted Living, located on the second floor of the Clinton County Hospital.

A grand opening was held Sunday, November 29th from 2:00 till 4:00.

Several potential residents and many curious people took time out of their Sunday afternoon to take the tour and to ask several questions of Shannon Sams, Director of the Facility.

With a total of as many as eighteen separate apartment-style rooms being available, Mountain View Assisted Living offers a needed option to the residents of Clinton and surrounding counties.

The facility and its staff can assist with daily activities like bathing, dressing, eating, and grooming.

Residents of the facility must be able to take their own medications. The cost to stay in the facility is half that of a nursing home. Medicare and Medicaid will unfortunately not pay anything toward the cost of staying in an assisted living facility.

When you consider that all your meals, heat and air-conditioning, laundry, housekeeping, cable TV, local phone service, water, trash pickup, electric, and even snacks are included in the price of the apartments as well as 24-hour caregivers being available, it is quite reasonable.

If you have not seen what Mountain View Assisted Living has available, give them a call at 606-387-3601 and talk to Shannon Sams, who will set up a time to give you a tour and answer any questions you might have.
