Dr. Seuss musical

Burkesville Academy of Fine Arts announces its spring musical production of “Seussical the Musical.” Auditions for the production will be held Monday, January 11 from 5-7 p.m. at Living Word Ministries in Burkesville. Veterans Service organization

Attention Clinton County Veterans! We are going to establish a Veterans Service Organization that will form an Honor Guard that will provide Military Funerals for qualified Veterans for Albany. The organization will be called The County Honor Guard and will provide assistance to Veterans and Veterans’ families in the community. It will also serve the local community as an outreach program and will become a vital asset to which Clinton County will be proud of. Our local funeral homes have expressed a great interest in this program being developed and started. We need Veterans to call Frank Irvin at 270-566-4334 for information on a upcoming meeting that will provide the outline for such a program. Free diabetes classes offered

The Clinton County Health Department will be offering Learning to Control Diabetes–Step by Step on Mondays beginning in January. Step 1 will be Jan. 4; Step 2 Jan. 11; Step 3 Jan. 25 and Step IV Feb. 1. Also a diabetes club meeting will be held Tuesday, February 9 from 10-11 a.m. with the focus on foot care. Sessions are free but pre-registration is required by calling 387-5711.

Clinton County Courthouse closed for New Year holiday

The Clinton County Courthouse will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 31 through January 2, for the New Year Holiday and will reopen Monday, January 4, at 8:00 am.
