Vincent Boils, native of Clinton County, who attends school at Southern Middle School in Somerset, Kentucky played in the Kentucky State Baseball Championship game at Lindsey Wilson College.

Boils played a three game series vs Murray. SMS beat Murray 14-2 and 5-0 to become state champions. SMS ended its season with a 32-3 record. Boils is the son of Jacky and Margaret Boils and the grandson of Betty and Bobby Boils, of Albany, and Betty and Fred Thrasher, Somerset, KY.
