Two members of the Albany Fire Department, Coty Butler, right, and Conner Duvall, rode watch in the back of the Fire-Rescue Chief’s truck last Wednesday afternoon as the casket bearing Ted Aaron’s body was transported to the cemetery following the funeral service for the long-time member of the department.

Aaron, who passed away at the age of 83, had been a member of the Albany Fire Department for more than 60 years, in addition to having been a former member of the Albany City Council and a long-time plant manager for garment manufacuring factories in Albany. The procession included additional trucks from the AFD fleet as well as most of the department members.
