Kenneth Howard Garner, 71, Alpha, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was the son of the late William “Bill” and Kate (Shelton) Garner and was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Garner; three sisters, Edna, Mary and Christeen Garner; three brothers, Wendell, Haskale and Eugene Garner and an infant grandson.

He is survived by three sisters, Ruth Marcum and Pauline Garner, both of Alpha; Reba Taylor, Byrdstown, TN; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Garner; three granddaughters, Shanice (Michael) Hood, Amelia “Katie” Garner and Alena Garner, all of Albany; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson Braswell and Colton Hood; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Campbell-New Funeral Home with pastors David Stearns and Earnest Mann officiating. Final resting place in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
