6th Grade Champs.psd

The Clinton County 7th Grade Boys’ basketball team competed in the 2016 Kentucky Basketball Academy Boys’ 7th Grade State Tournament last weekend in Lexington. During pool play, the team defeated Woodford County 38-32, and then lost to Northern Pulaski 49-37.

After all pool play was completed, the team entered the tournament ranked 35th of 58 teams. During the first round of the tournament, they defeated Scott County 57-50. During the second round, the team upset Eastside Middle School (ranked 3rd in the tournament) with a score of 39-31 before being defeated in the Sweet 16 by Knox County 52-38.

The team is coached by Sheldon Harlan and Mark Gibson.
