Twin Lakes Beekeepers to meet

Twin Lakes Beekeepers Association will meet Thursday, February 11 at 7 p.m. at the extension office. Those interested in beekeeping are welcome to attend.

Football team taking strawberry orders

The Clinton County varsity football team is now taking orders for fresh strawberries. The strawberries will be delivered in March. Prices are $25 for a full flat, which is eight quarts and $15 for a half flat, which is four quarts. Lunch and Learn

Want to learn more about stretching your food dollar, better nutrition without a huge price tag, and food safety? If so, the Cooperative Extension Nutrition Education Program will be hosting a Lunch and Learn class at the Clinton County Public Library on Tuesday, February 16 at 11 a.m. A new, tasty recipe will be demonstrated and sampled. Healthy Cooking Class

A Healthy Cooking Class will be held Tuesday night, February 16 at 5 p.m. at the Clinton County Public Library. All the techniques needed to prepare a healthy, cheap and ease recipe will be demonstrated. Whether you are a seasoned chef or struggle in the kitchen sometimes, this class is for you! Come out and join us for tips and tricks to get you excited about being in the kitchen! Relay for Life meeting

rescheduled

The Clinton County Relay For Life Committee meeting, which was postponed Tuesday evening, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 16 at 5 p.m. at the Early Childhood Center. All team captains are encouraged to attend.

School board regular meeting

Clinton County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly business meeting Monday, February 15 at 5 p.m. at the Central Office board room. The meeting is open to the general public.

Clinton Fiscal Court meeting

Clinton Fiscal Court will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday, February 18 at 5 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.

Industrial Authority to meet

The Clinton County Industrial Development Authority is scheduled to hold its regular meeting Thursday, February 11 at 11 a.m. at the IDA- Welcome Center. The meeting is open to the general public.

School board work session

The Clinton County Board of Education will conduct a work session Thursday, February 11 at 4:30 p.m. in the Central Office board room. The meeting is open to the public.

Retired Teachers meeting

Clinton County Retired Teachers will meet Tuesday, February 16 at 1 p.m. at Lee’s Famous Recipe.

Valentine’s night for high school students

Round up your boots and grab your partner! We’re kickin’ up our heels at the Clinton County Fairgrounds Building for Valentine’s Day for Clinton County High School students only on Saturday, February 13 from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $6 at the door per single, $10 per couple. Portraits will be made, there will be dance contests, door prizes, photo booth, concessions and more. All proceeds go to Project Graduation 2016.

Broadleaf weed control demonstration

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture is offering a broadleaf weed control demonstration to area producers.

Producers interested in controlling broadleaf weeds in pastures are encouraged to sign-up by calling the Clinton County Extension Office at 606-387-5404. There are only seven spots available on a first come, first served basis. Producers are responsible for providing a tractor, an operator, and water to fill the sprayer. KDA will provide the sprayer and 2,4-D or Crossbow for 10 acres.

Valentine’s Day dinner for two

The Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center will be hosting a Valentine’s Day dinner for two on Saturday, February 13 at Albany Elementary School cafeteria. The Back Room Band will be performing throughout the evening. The menu will consist of prime rib, mixed baby greens, twice baked potatoes, green beans almondine, rolls, Death by Chocolate cake or Hawaii cake, coffee or tea. Tickets are $50 and on sale through February 5. Proceeds go to youth and senior programs at the Wellness Center.
