Judy Elaine Ayers Melton, 60, Bowling Green, Kentucky and a native of Albany, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 in Bowling Green. She was the daughter of the late Carlie Ayers and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rommie and Ricky Ayers.

She is survived by her mother, Lorene Ayers, Albany; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Michael Shelton, Bowling Green, KY; a son, Rodney Jones; four sisters, Lynn Ayers, Ricky Marcum, Shelia Massengale and Lisa Shelton; a brother, Odell Ayers, all of Albany; five grandchildren, Sheena Bell, Courtney Shelton, Dustin, Bailey and Samantha Jones; and two great-grandchildren, Carly Jones and Elizabeth Choate.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Stearns officiating. Final resting place in Hopkins Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
