Ira Jeffery “Smurf” Smith, age 51, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016, at his residence in Clinton County. He was the son of the late Elmer Dee and Minnie Sue (Winchester) Smith.
He is survived by a daughter, Melinda Smith (Robert) Harding; a son, Brandon Smith and friend Kanitha Foster; two step-children, Allie Paige Wright and Destin Faith Wright; a special friend, Devin Myers; four brothers, Steve Dean (Elsie) Smith, Jimmy Dee Smith, Bennie Earl (Ann) Smith, Robert Leslie Smith; three sisters, Sandra Faye Moore, Leeann Smith, Patricia Diana Smith (Bobby) Wright, all of Albany, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Carson Allen Harding, Cannon Harding, Cansen Preslee Harding, Trinity Grace Foster, Phoenix Ira Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 19, 2016, in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with pastor Bruce Stearns officiating. Burial followed in the Peolia Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.
