Cordelia Brown Hartman, 91, Louisville, Kentucky and a native of Clinton County, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Baptist East in Louisville with her loved ones by her side.
Born August 21, 1919, in Albany, she was the daughter of the late H.C. “Heb” and Ethel Brown. She moved to Louisville in the late 1940s where she contiued to live her life to the fullest. After traveling to many places and retiring from Jim Porters as a waitress, she fulfilled her passions of gardening and helping those in need.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Wayne (Donna) Hartman of Louisville, KY; her three grandchildren, Britney (Daniel) Razor, Heather Hoffman, and Amanda Hartman; her two beautiful great-grandbabies, Adam Hartman and Alexis Razor; her eight sibliings, Lona Mae Brown (William Overt Pryor), Marshall Brown, Clarence Eugene Brown, Marion Craig Brown, Alice Jean Brown (James Dowell); and numerous other extended family and friends.
Her daukghter, Sylvia Ann Denton; her brothers James Richard Brown, Samuel “Sambo” Brown and J.B. Brown, and her caring husband, William O. Hartman Jr. preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 13, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Jim England officiating. Final resting place in Peolia Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Edenside Christian Church at 1415 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 7 p.m. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
