Velma Lee Smith Shelley, 83, Albany, passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Dora Cummings Smith, and wife of the late Melvin Shelley. She was also preceded in death by three children, Dennis, Murl and Priscilla Shelley. She was a member of Twin Lakes Grace Fellowship Church.

She is survived by three sons, Darwin (Judy) Shelley, Byrdstown, TN; Bro. Donnie (Wyncie) Shelley and Johnny (Shirley) Shelley, Albany; two daughters, Phyllis (Dennis) Tschetter, Tuscaloosa, AL; Nancy Brewington, Burkesville; two daughters-in-law, Patricia Shelley and Judy Shelley; also 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Twin Lakes Grace Fellowship Church with Bros. Donnie Shelley, Todd Zike and Randall Polson officiating.
