The days are already getting longer and the nights shorter, but in just a few days, they will seem even longer with more daylight and less darkness for the next several months, as Central Daylight Saving Time (CDST) returns this weekend.

Daylight Saving Time will return officially at 2 a.m. Sunday morning, March 13.

Remember the old adage, Spring Forward-Fall Back, so readers are reminded to set their clocks, watches, cell phones, computers or whatever else device you may use to keep up with time–forward one hour either before retiring Saturday night of first thing Sunday morning. Keep in mind also that many of today’s modern devices will make the switch automatically.

Although people will lose an hour’s sleep, the longer days and extra daylight is usually worth it and the hour of lost sleep can be made back up the first Sunday in November, when we revert back to Central Standard Time.
