Members of the Clinton County High School Class of 1975 recently donated excess funds left over from a class reunion to the Clinton County Community Foundation. Pictured above, Class of 1975 members Karen Talbott and David Cross, right, are shown presenting the check for the leftover funds to Clinton County Community Foundation Secretary/Treasurer Al Gibson. Gibson and Cross are members of the Clinton County Community Foundation Advisory Board.

The CCCF was formed over two years ago locally and is a growing trend across the nation of a way to encourage philanthropy and charitable giving to its effort by creating a vehicle to help donors give back to their communities and make a lasting impact.

The CCCF has partnered with other local groups and individuals to secure funding for projects including the new playground equipment that has been intstalled at Mountain View Recreation Park. Currently, the CCCF is working to be a part of the effort to locate a new Farmer’s Market a block north of the courthouse square in Albany as well as several other projects that will be announced and detailed in the near future.

Anyone wishing to learn more about the Foundation can do so by contacting any of the Foundation Advisory Board members and by logging on to the Foundation web site: www.clintoncountykentuckyfoundation.org
