James D. “Jimmy” Glidewell, 56, Martha Stockton Rd., Albany, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at his residence. He was the son of the late Emery Glidewell and was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Glidewell.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Glidewell; his mother, Imogene Glidewell; two daughters, April Jones, Knoxville, Tennessee; Valerie Simmons, Chattanooga, Tennessee; a sister, Judy Holley, Athens, Tennessee; and five grandchildren, Haleigh, Dakkota and Maranda Jones and Hunter and Hayden Simmons.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Cross and Bro. Joe Bryant officiating. Final resting place in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
