Fiscal court makes fund transfers, pays for sheriff’s car at call meeting

Clinton County Fiscal Court held a short special meeting Monday morning in the judge/executive’s office with two items of business on the call meeting agenda.

The court approved three cash transfers as follows: $30,000 from the Occupational Tax Fund to the jail fund; $20,000 from the Occupational Tax fund to the LGEA fund and $70,000 (from grant money) from the 911 to ambulance fund.

The court also voted to pay an invoice of $65,853.24 for two 2016 Dodge Pursuit Charger vehicles purchased for the sheriff’s department at $32,926.26 each. The money for the purchase of the new sheriff’s department patrol cars was also from a grant the county had received.

There was no other items of business to be voted on prior to the brief meeting being adjourned.

The court held its regular monthly meeting Thursday evening, March 17 and details on that session will be published in next week’s Clinton County News.
