The Clinton County Industrial Development Authority held a brief regular meeting last Thursday morning, June 9 at the IDA’s Welcome Center with five of seven members present. There was a limited number of items on the agenda.
The board, on a motion by Janie Gibson, voted unanimously to participate in the Kentucky State Fair “Pride of the Counties” program during the state fair in August, and pay one-half of the expenses (the other half will be paid by the chamber of commerce) toward the fair booth and other expenses.
Prior to adjourning, Rick Mercader, manager of Grider Hill Marina, announced to the board that Grider Hill be would hosting the “Thunder Run” Friday through Sunday, June 24-26 and invited everyone to attend.
In other business, the IDA voted to pay claims and bills and approved its expenditure report.
The next regular meeting of the Clinton County Industrial Authority, which is open to the public, is scheduled for Thursday, August 11 at 11 a.m. at the Welcome Center.
