Great day for CCHS Bulldog Battalion at

SGM (Ret) Paul Gray Memorial Drill Meet

The Annual 7th Brigade, SGM (Ret) Paul Gray Drill/Color Guard/Marksmanship/Academic Competition, at North and John Hardin High Schools, March 12, 2016, was a great day for the Bulldog Battalion. This is the largest JROTC competition in 7th Brigade, with 47 schools participating. There were no team wins, but four Bulldog Battalion Cadets won individual awards. Cadet Captain Jared Upchurch won the 3rd Place Medal in the Academic Competition, out of 135 cadets, from a five state area. Cadet Sergeant Morgan Robison won the 7th Place Medal and Cadet Staff Sergeant Renee Cash won the 19th Place Medal in the Armed Knockout Drill event, out of 400 cadets. Cadet Sergeant Gabby Longwell won the 21st Place Medal in the Unarmed Knockout Drill event out of 400 cadets. The following cadets competed: Shania Bagwell, Nick Bell, Will Blake, Colson Burchett, Gage Brumley, Renee Cash, Kaitlin Davis, Andrea Duvall, Joe Edwards, Sabrina Gray, Chandler Hall, Haley Herald, Kristina Huddleston, Gabby Longwell, Leo Oplinger, Devon Redman, Morgan Robison, Jared Upchurch, Jayden Wallace, and Dawson Waid.

Cadet Staff Sergeant Renee Cash won the 19th Place Medal in the Armed Knockout Drill event out of 400 cadets.

Cadet Sergeant Morgan Robison won the 7th Place Medal in the Armed Knockout Drill event, out of 400 cadets.

Cadet Sergeant Gabby Longwell won the 21st Place Medal in the Unarmed Knockout Drill event out of 400 cadets.
