Jimmy “Jim” Walton Martin, 71, Cookeville, Tennessee, formerly of Byrdstown and a native of Albany, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Bethesda Health Care in Cookeville. He was the son of the late Denton Walton and Geneva (Story) Martin and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Martin. He attended Algood First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Carter and Jeanetta Martin and Craig and Heather Martin, all of Byrdstown, TN; a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Bill Davidson, Cookeville, TN; also four grandchildren, Benjamin, Gabrielle, Meika and Ty Martin.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Brent Davis and Bro. Rick Cross officiating. Final resting place in Vann’s Branch Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown, Tennessee.
