Ernest Edward “Ed” Ramsey, 88, Bald Rock Rd., Albany, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Livingston (TN) Regional Hospital. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict, a member of Gap Creek Baptist Church and was preceded in death by four brothers, Guy, James, Hugh and Howard Ramsey and four sisters, Ruth Upchurch, Anna Shelton, Rosa Lela Ramsey and Gladys Franklin.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ramsey, Albany; four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Kenny Booher, Burkesville, KY; Donna and Joe Copeland, Chattanooga, TN; Carol and David Brown, Wilmington, DE; Anna and Frankie Norris, Albany; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Rosalie Ramsey, Sanders, KY; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lois and Darrell Deering, Jonesboro, GA; also 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. David Flagler and Bro. Koger Ramsey officiating. Final resting place in Stop Cemetery in Wayne County. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Stop Cemetery Fund. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
