Ashley Stearns Hoover, the daughter of Terry K. Stearns and Patricia Stearns of Albany, graduated from University of Kentucky College of Law on May 6, 2016 with a J.D.

She had previously graduated with a B.A. from Eastern Kentucky University in 2013, majoring in Political Science with a Minor in Music. She is a 2010 graduate of Clinton County High School

While at law school, Hoover participated in several organizations including: serving as the Treasurer for Phi Alpha Delta, International Law Fraternity and serving on the editorial board for the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Law where her student note entitled “The Municipally Owned Gasoline State in Somerset, KY: The Economic and Legal Consequences” is set for publication this year.

She plans to take the Kentucky Bar Exam this year and has accepted a position as a Staff Attorney for Judge David A. Tapp in Somerset, Ky.

She currently resides in Somerset, Ky with her husband, Matthew Hoover.
