Ben Foster Stearns, 82, Albany, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Clinton County Care & Rehab. He was a native of Cumberland County, the son of the late Otha and Dalia Balleau Stearns and was also preceded in death by his wife, Geneva V. Tallent Stearns, four brothers, Coleman, Norman, Kirby, and Welby Stearns, two sisters, Dolly Reed and Gleema Tallent and a grandson Andrew G. Stearns.

He is survived by four sons, Charlie E. (Kathy) Stearns; Jamie L. (Becky) Stearns; Billy Joe Stearns, all of Albany; Ben Raymond (Brenda) Stearns, Burkesville, KY; a daughter, Donna V. (Donnie) Foster, Somerset, KY; three sisters, Cressie Prince, Albany; Georgia York, Kokomo, IN; Marie Lair, Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren, Joshua D., Erik R. and Adam T. Foster, Ashly V. Foster-Smith and Matthew L., Little Charlie B., Clint R. and Daniel J. Stearns; also seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Aaron Chapel Church with Bro. Clifton Cowan and Bro. Mike Cooper officiating. Final resting place in Aaron Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Weldon Haddix Funeral Home of Albany.
