G.E. Beaty, left, one of the Clinton County Election Commissioners, watches last week as Clinton County Clerk Shelia Booher and Clerk employee Nathan Collins, go over vote totals previously reported in the race for the democrat nominee for President of the United States.

That race between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, finished in a down to the wire race in Kentucky with Clinton winning by a narrow margin. The close finish prompted the Bernie Sanders campagin in Kentucky to request a recanvass of votes in all of Kentucky’s 120 counties. Last week’s recanvass found no vote difference than previously reported in Clinton County, with Clinton receiving 151 votes and Sanders getting 93 votes.

Across Kentucky, very few changes were found during the recanvass, with Clinton being declared the official winners by a narrow 1,924 votes with 212,550 votes compared to Sanders’ 210,626 votes.
