Wayne “Buddy” Thacker, 68, Evansville, Indiana and formerly of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 in Evansville. He was the son of the late Robert “Bob” and Bessie Riddle Thacker, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam and a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Clemons, Albany; a step-daughter, Felicia Wray, Burkesville, Kentucky; two sisters, Pansy Lee, Burkesville, Kentucky; Sally McKee, Louisville, Kentucky; two brothers, David and Mark Thacker, both of Burkesville, Kentucky; also six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Monday, June 13, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Cumberland County with military honors. Arrangements were made through Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home of Burkesville.
