Clinton County Fiscal Court held a special meeting last Thursday morning, June 23 with all members present. The only item of business was the bid opening on various road materials.

The court, on a motion by magistrate Ricky Craig, voted to approve both Gaddie-Shamrock and Albany Quarry as providers of gravel. On a motion by magistrate Mickey Riddle, Albany Building Center was awarded the bid on tile and on a motion by magistrate Terry Buster, the blacktop bid was awarded to Gaddie-Shamrock.

The brief meeting was then adjourned.

The court also held another call meeting Monday night of this week to discuss issues pertaining to the Tri-County Animal Shelter. Details on that meeting can be found this week, beginning on page 1.

The court will hold a special call meeting this Thursday morning, June 30 at 8 a.m. in the judge/executive’s conference room to consider second reading and adoption of the county’s 2016-17 fiscal year budget.

The next regular meeting of fiscal court is scheduled for Thursday, July 21 at 5 p.m. and is open to the general public.
